If he did create the back door maybe he told Finch about it before he died(if he is dead) and told Reese he created it; he really hasn't mentioned Ingram to Reese at all...
...And Bluesparrow, Finch can't be dead! Without him there would be no show!

So here's an idea:
Don't know if you ever watched the Buffy series, but at the end of one of the seasons, Buffy is killed and the first few episodes of the next season has her "team" attempting to carry on her activities without her, while trying to find a way to get her back. I'm wondering now if that is not the concept we'll see at the start of Season 2, with the Irrelevant Protection Team (Reese, Carter, Fusco, Zoe) working the Numbers while trying to find Finch...
reesespieces101 and chimera there are a lot of users in this forum you guys are about the only ones committed to it, my compliments
Aww thanks! <shuffles feet...>
There are several POI forums and FaceBook pages...but this forum is at least not a commercial site like CBS (lame!) and TV.com...and not a multiple show site like TWoP. And while I have visited the popular FB pages, those scroll like a chat with some so fangirl oriented that plot analysis would be impossible.
I assume that since this site is also in German, that it originates in EU, but it's a phpBB format (with which I'm familiar) and is really suited to our activities!
reesespieces101 wrote:Also, this is way out there but I think Root figured out the Machine after the assassination of Congressman Delancey and I believe Turing is just an ingenious hack but not the real Root...I think Stanton is Root and whoever got away with the laptop in Ordos (I don't think it was John...) is the one who is manipulating the data!
The idea that Root may be just a clever hack I find appealing!
That Turing is not the real Root is of course possible, but the unique theme music used when Root appeared in Root Cause matches the theme music used when Turing is in Finch's car near the end of Firewall.
Of course these writers are good at creating red herrings, but I'd be disappointed if that music was to lead us astray. It was such a neat, subtle clue to Roots identity.
As for Stanton...color me surprised that she returned from the dead!
That she lied to Reese in Ordos (ok...ok...she didn't lie, she just omitted some facts...) about the Machine leads me to believe she may already know about it. Or... she believed Reese to be compromised and figured he didn't need a full answer to his question about what the injured tech said.Isn't this fun? Come Sept. we're probably going to see all our theories blown away as the writers take control!

Edited to correct my misreading of BlueSparrow's post!

and watch as the writers blow us away
(Tried to correct it, but oh, well...)
