YES! Root is a very interesting character, though I find it a little strange that they are introducing another "nemesis" character when they haven't done anything to develop the Elias subplot yet! Seeing Finch bested and losing control of the situation really ratcheted up the suspense! We are led to believe (and I for one still do) that Finch is a computer super genius (who else could have built something like the machine). So for him to meet an equal on the OTHER SIDE of the moral divide is very interesting!

Did they not show Root's face and disguise her voice because we would recognize her from previous episodes as some other character? Or was was this simply a way to deepen the mystery?

It's amazing Finch didn't see the computer trap. Do you think he just didn't imagine anyone being smarter than him? Finch needs to tell the Machine to let him know if someone is stalking him. I'm amazed Alicia was able to follow him and find his hide out so easy. Maybe since the problems at the beginning of Season 2 he's had a chance to rethink that!

How nice was this one... ? Cool case of the week, Zoe returns, we get a new ennemy ? Yep, we are definitely an a roll here !

You know you're watching a great series when an episode out of nowhere could act as a finale...I mean week in week out POFI (Not me, the series ) gives us a WTF moment, a finish that leaves us hanging, a glimpse into the mythology, a couple of answers and lots of new questions !

Now we have to wonder, like eshugh said, are they hiding Root's identity because we already know her from earlier episodes or just a way to deepen the mystery ? I guess you guys know this already but obviously I don't...
